This is an opportunity for you to join content expert Sheila Vandenbush, RDA, RDH, MS, Ph.D. and other fellow educators to learn basic principles of effective grant writing to fund your projects, big and small. The course will cover grant writing basics, how to write a grant proposal, how to search for funders, and how to manage your grant once you receive it.

Objectives:

• Develop an understanding of grant writing basics
• Organize your grant proposal to improve funding opportunities
• Classify the 4 major types of grant funders
• Apply basic skills of grant management

Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.

More about our content expert: Dr. Vandenbush is a clinical practitioner and educator. She currently serves on the Commission on Dental Hygiene Review Committee, is part of two NBDHE test writing committees, is a CDCA/ADEX clinical dental hygiene examiner and a past CODA site visitor. Her experience with analog film, phosphor plate technology, sensor imaging, and 2D/3D imaging has kept her at the forefront of dental radiology. With over 15 years of teaching dental radiology, Dr. Vandenbush will present dental radiography techniques, current dental technology, tips and best practices, while providing an open platform for discussion of interest for the practitioner and educator.

Attendees of Educators Platform Mastermind sessions will earn 2 CEU in Educational Methods.
